Black straight overprints the pink. No trapping needed at all.
Basically leave the pink "as is" without knocking out any of the black areas. Then print the black on top of it.

Select all pink and change to white before outputing your black film positive. Otherwise the black gun shown in this close-up will cover-up your pink splatters. If you do this again, you should create layers. Put some pink on the bottom layer, add black to it's own layer, then a top layer of pink splatters. That would make it easier to change just the colors needed for each film.

i could sep and trap that in photoshop in about 12 seconds.
i like photoshop way better for stuff like that than illustrator. i woulda never said that 2 years ago though.
i convert all the illustrator files that i get into 600-800dpi photoshop files right when i get them.
