Default WACOM Tablet Learning Curve

I just got the Intuous 2 6 x 8 (after the recommendations on this board and from other) and... it's difficult.

Can someone who's already made the jump from mouse-drawing to the tablet give any pointers on ways to figure out how to make it work for you?

Been using a wacom for over 5 years.

The learning curve takes about a good week of constant use. Just practice. Best advice I can give you.

Had to use a mouse the other day on a friends computer, freakin' weird.

I've been using a Wacom daily for about 8 years now. I'd like to help but I can't even remember what it's like to draw with a mouse.

I guess just use it all the time. It'll gow on ya.

I use both because I don't want to forget how to use one or the other (as mentioned earlier in this thread) ... wacom is great fo coloring, it's soooo easy, I actually still draw alot with my mouse, just used to it I guess. Mike said it best practice, practice, practice.

I use the wacom sometimes when I'm at work, but I don't think I like it that much better. After getting used to it, I don't think there was any real improvement in control, quality, or speed. But that's just me.
