    Default Digital Specs... WTF?

I called a printing company for digital specs today and was told to send the following:

"All artwork must be camera ready, formatted to digital and at 300 lines per pixels."

Yes. You may quote me on that.

If someone had called me and asked for something as nonsensical as "digital specs", my answer would have been way more irreverent than that.

No... They were out on the west coast somewhere. They weren't being irreverent. They truly had no fucking clue. Ended up giving the project to another printer anyway.

BTW: I just posted that here. When I called them, I asked for "digital file specifications" for the product they were to print.

So, what's nonsensical about digital specs?
