    Also make sure you wish more specific things to his girlfriend than "Best". That is vague. Try to be more graphic.

    Yeah, I was doing a friends + family hook up rate for the dude with no rush fees.
    I usually charge much more than that when working hourly. Try to be nice to somebody....

    At least now the $20 guy will get lots of exposure and be first in line for other great opportunities.

    now whenever i give someone a deal i always invoice the full amount then have a line for the discount so they know exactly what i am doing for them.

    Yeah, I've been doing that for a while, too. It helps them have some perspective and lessens the sting.
