How much of an effect?

Unfortunately, I'd say a lot. The last thing you want in e-comm is 'barrier to entry' with platform issues. Apple rules the world right now, and you don't want to be left behind as more and more people shop from their mobile devices. I'd be hard pressed to find a forward thinking web designer that'd say designing in flash is a good idea anymore.

Well we thought of that when making the site for Moogfest...check this out...no flash at all!

Oh but yeah, probably not much at all. I do have to say I cant stand it when i go to a site and it doesn't work or load well...I will leave if i have to wait long. I also think it depends on what is in the flahs content...if your portfolio is a flash based player, then yeah you may lose some business.Last edited by JustinHelton; 08-15-2010 at 07:02 AM.

I should have followed through and said- but does this affect YOUR business or even any one particular business? Impossible to say. I'm sure it'll have some impact, but you can't measure what people AREN'T going to your site- only what people ARE.
