    Default epson 1400 ink...

    Hey,

So I'm here printing films for a shirt job, and my Epson 1400 has shut down for lack of a light cyan refill. Thing is, I've only used it to print black for months.

First- why is it using light cyan etc in grayscale mode?

Second- Why won't it let me print the final all black film so I can get this done? Is there a way around this? I seriously doubt I can find a cartridge today and I need to print tomorrow... (I know, I could just be better prepared...)

    Thanks in advance!

It needs al the carts to maintain the heads. Not sure about the 1400 but my Epsons use a little ink on start up of each of the colors and then occasionally for head cleaning. I don't think there's a work around. I always keep two extra carts of each color on the shelf.

So I printed to PDF, but kept the 1400 borderless formatting for registration. Then I took it to the Xerox place across the street and made 2 transparencies to double up for opacity.

$2 and I'm back on track!

    thanks
