having a hard time getting in to this one. feeling first and second much more than this sound theyre growing in to.

I thought this too until seeing them live a few times. Totally sold on the Red and Blue albums after that.

I love John's artwork despite some peoples' vehement disagreement with me. and he is a very nice guy. I am not a huge fan of the band though - I liked the red album much better. The blue one has too much epic singing for my tastes and the first video from the record was embarrassingly baaaaaaadddddddd. I couldn't even laugh at the metal gayness (and I am a metal head so I can laugh at my own metal gayness too)

Oh man I love the epic singing and riffs on the Blue Record. The art rules, too. I'm sure many just don't dig his stuff (personal taste and all) but I'd be willing to bet many are just jealous. The dude is fairly successful in multiple artistic disciplines. Seems like a pretty rad life, to me.

people are jealous and they should be. Of all the trash-talking I've heard about John's art, he's still a nice and sincere guy from what I know. the video still sucks though. (it's so bad - especially knowing baizley's art the video is so fucking awful geesh)

because people constantly have to draw comparisons to pushead and a lot of them say he is ripping off pushead because they can't differentiate between being influenced and ripping off and they just wish they had an ounce of the talent themselves.
