VDP is one of my all time favorite albums, and I'm more of a Southern Rock enthusiast.
Well, I guess Pantera is Southern Metal. maybe that's why. Phil Anselmo's pretty cool, I got to meet him once. He was high as fuck.

Did somebody say Phil is still a gay cowboy?! Check out Superjoint Ritual... It's Phil's new (well not really new, they've been together for a long time as a side thing) band... It's Phil with Hank Williams III and guys from Crowbar, Corrosion Of Conformity (EYE FOR AN EYE!!!!!!!!) and Eyehategod.... FUCKING UNGODLY BRUTAL HEROINCORE! My vote is, keep Phil on Heroin, pills, booze and weed because he's making the most heartfelt intense and BRUTAL music he's ever made! Pantera was great but Superjoint fucking melts them!!! No wanky solos, the drums are fucking REAL and there's just pain, unlimited amounts of Charles Manosn worship and guttural YEEARRRGGGHHH!

Mike - Pleeeez make me a mixed CD with all this shit. I don't have the energy to go hunting around for metal. I would be forever in your debt.

If I can ever get my CD burner working I will. I may have to stick my old burner in my new machine. Getting that shit working is on my list of things to do this weekend.

that was the word around town locally (austin) when pantera still played the backroom, opening for judas priest on the reunion tours, headlining other nights and getting some play on major radio. i personally do not know this as fact and really don't even believe it or give a shit. i am not normally one to shit-talk in general, and i apologize to phil personally if he is, in fact, into crease rather than cock. austin is a big village (especially in those days...pre-tech boom) and the rumor mill can be quite vicious (especially if you've got something that others are jealous of...like success across the globe). i just read an article about super joint ritual in RRrank&revue. sounds like an interesting line-up.
