    Default The Crucified

I just found this on facebook. I was turned on to these guys by my friend Wade. They where a big part of the whole Fresno Music scene back in the day.

Did flyers for em & interviewed them in one of the issues of Thieves & Prostitutes, back in 1992. Good guys.

There were a bunch of these bands that popped up from a genuine movement, & then were preyed upon & screwed over royally by 'Christian' labels in ways that would make even evil corporate lawyers blush. Movement turned into a marketing ploy almost instantly,... it was like they were just waiting for a new Jesus freak movement to repeat itself, & sank their fangs into it instantly.

Clever take on the name, eh, Mr. Obvious?

Actually, I think the jester was their mascot for a while,... yeah, something like that,...

So much truth there. Mark wrote a memoir a few years back that gets into that a bit. You could probably find it for two bucks used on amazon, called Simplicity by Mark Salomon

    And that flyer rules!
