Default Trail of Dead with Mogwai This Saturday in Hollyweird.

Ok folks, I'm doing some soliciting for my cuzin's band, Trail of Dead. They're playing the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood this Saturday. Mogwai is opening up, and I think one other band, but not sure who.

Tickets are $22.50. Doors open at 70 pm (*edit* - Happy face was not on purpose, but a nice accident, so I left it). Check this out for more details...

If you're in the area and you've never seen them, they are really worth a look. Sure, I'm biased, but they are one of the more entertaining bands out there today, and the shows can be fairly unpredictable. Mogwai rocks too! Check it out if you can.

Dude! Is it really your cousin in Trial of Dead? I'd LOVE to do a poster for them...

Yeah, my cousin is the drummer, Jason Reece. The thing is, the Guitar player, Conrad does a large majority of their own artwork. I know others have done posters for them. Jeff Kleinsmith did a killer one. I have no idea who they contracted the work through though.

I'm going to see him this weekend. I'll ask to see if he has any insight. Of course, I want to do a piece as well, but being the Poster Grommet that I am, I'm not going to be too disappointed if they don't like my work yet.

Yeah, I gathered that they were an artistic bunch (beyond the music) from their website. Ask though. It never hurts to ask. If I were in Cali I'd go...

yeah, torn up sets is definitely a trademark of theirs. A few years back, at the Troubador, I saw one guy walk out with one of the guitars after the melee. Conrad ran out of the club and down the street after the guy because it was the only guitar he had left that wasn't broken.
