"Run and you will only die tired"
Most overrated, maybe.
I thought The Wall was the coolest thing ever when I was a 15. Like every other suburban 15 yr old on the whole goddamn planet. I outgrew it quickly.
Pink Floyd started as a pretty good acid band, among many others, and became kind of faux high-concept band that not very intelligent people think is really deep and profound. Like Rush. Or Tool.
Crosshair pushing here until its limit the bringing together.

"Every single Crosshair poster I've ever seen is almost exactly the same. Do these guys even have a bit of creativity in them? I mean, come one - shitty old building pics photoshopped with text over them. Pretty pathetic to say the least."
"it just seems like so little effort is put into creating this? am i missing something?"
I agree with Crosshair. Except the part about thinking it was genius when I was 15. Because I didn't. I thought it was some hippy bullshit. Which i still do.

Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
they really expanded my understanding of how far the range music could expand. the noise/collage of early compositions like on Piper at the Gates of Dawn took free form jazz and acid infused fuzz rock and blended them into a new concoction that was beyond the comprehension of anyone into main stream music. Echos is probably my favorite Floyd album.
soylent green is people
yeah, it probably is some hippy bullshit, but for awhile in the 70s i dug the shit outta it.
nowadays i can't tell if it's the music or the nostalgia of it that i enjoy.
MEDDLE is still one of the best records ever made.
Benjamy should shut his trap. In a cage match, Pink Floyd doesn't stand a chance against Slayer.
Seriously though...y'all's LSD is kicking in right now if you think AC/DC has only one good song. I can respect Floyd, but after being force fed it for 40 years, I'm way burned out. Somehow AC/DC still does it for me though. Go figure.
