    Default wilco

crap - i think that was the best show i have seen in a year. was always more of an 'uncle tupelo' gal, but that show was amazing. spent the whole show sitting in my girlfriends lap with my feet hanging over the side of the balcony at stubbs - could almost touch jeff tweedy's head. they played for 2.5 hours.
when i had almost given up seeing bands enjoy their audience - i finally saw it again.
go see if they come to your town.

i feel ya. i missed jay's voice for too long. prone to liking utterly consistent albums - whether dark or light (this is why low is consistently my favorite band).
but there are very few shows that have blown me away - whether i liked the band much or not. rufus wainwright drunk off his ass to a crowd of 20 at the met in providence, low with the crowd asleep at electric lounge, poi dog with a huge dancing mass at liberty lunch, tortoise with an audience of no one at lupos.
i'm not saying i will buy their albums, but they are great live.

yankee hotel foxtrot is pretty great. theyre hit or miss on the other records. theyre all a mash up of great songs and crap.

I've seen Wilco live 4-5 times and they never fail to deliver. Some of my all time favorite live shows have been Wilco gigs. Jeff and Co. seem to be in a great place, and you can see it in the enthusiasm on stage.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that they have sweet posters...

They put on a great show last summer in Northampton.

I hope to have another a poster approved for a show this summer as well, as my first two went quick!
