Yeah? I looooooove the Stones up until their mid 70s drivel and beyond and because of that I've never bothered checking out any of their solo stuff.

Obviously, they named the band and the album before the emergence of the Internet, because Googling either one is a complete waste of time. This is an offshoot of Pere Ubu, featuring the classic rhythm section of Scott Krauss and Tony Maimone. It's unlike anything I've ever heard before and has been a favorite of mine since its initial release in 1985. It was an acquired taste, except for "From the Life of King John," which kicked ass from the first listen. Sadly, they remixed "King John" for the CD release, and I don't think it's quite as good as the original LP version. Still, I love it to pieces, and Scott Krauss and Tony Maimone remain two of the nicest famous people I've ever met. It's weird stuff, but way good.
