Never been much of a fan and always thought Morrissey was annoying. But I just came across 'Strangeways, here we come' and it's solid all the way through. I'm putting it up there with Guns and Roses Appetite for not having a bad song on it.

You have moved from category A, those who don't get it, to B those who do. congrats.

Keep moving and check out the other records- in final estimation I think Strangeways is probably the weakest overall. First s/t album and the singles comp "Hatfull of Hollow" are solid gold. They were always a 'singles' band as opposed to an 'albums' band so it may be informative to approach them that way.

I love how Morrissey pisses some people off so much.

cool, I'll have to give it a listen. I don't dislike the smiths as much as I do Morressey.... but I also haven't really listened to much smiths.
