BLACK MOUNTAIN is awesome. Highly recommend both their albums. fuxxn great in concert. they are more gritty than the conan appearance...that was pretty polished and it looks like they washed their hair.

many of their songs are mellow psych/retro - then just start to fcuking jam out of nowhere.

Also check out Blood Meridian. The bass player and drummer's other band. Psychedelic country. The compositions aren't epic like Black Mountains', but I think I like them more over all.
