Hard to believe this record exists (I would think it only appeared in a dream) but it does. It's on the Florida tax scam label Illusion, circa '77 I guess, from the tracks. It's all hard rock barband-level two-guitar cover songs, and probably the best selection I've seen on one LP for this amateur vibe.
Side One:
Honey Child (Bad Company)
Can You Roll Her (UFO! Don't know of any other local LP with a UFO cover)
Temples of Syrinx (ha...vocalist makes sure to sing an octave lower; messed-up sloopy leads)
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (amazing...the sneering vocalist reminds me of the weasel in The Nightmare, from Emmet Otter's Jug Band Xmas; cheesy leads, goofy arrangement...priceless)
Side Two:
No Matter What (those high notes are tough)
School’s Out (the weasel's back)
Hair of the Dog (cowbell!)
Whole Lotta Rosie (caps it off in a grand style)
I love this record...they really mean it. Wish I could find out what the story was.
