I like boring old pre-fusion jazz. like stuff up until around 1962 or so.

I like regular jazz, but I really like "fake" jazz, the stuff the snobs HATE, like Henry Mancini. Pretty much any cop/detective/crime soundtrack from around 1956-1976.

yeah 'cliched soundtrack jazz'...especially like shit with 'jazz flute' in it rules.
Bullit soundtrack for example.

most of the Blue Note catalogue, up until like 1966 is good stuff.. that whole Free Jazz movement kinda lost me.
Call me a luddite but I'm not really feeling Ornette Coleman or Eric Dolphy's post Bop type stuff.
I'm into Sonny Clark quite a bit, and Art Blakey always rules.
