i just got the wildest hair imaginable to hear some old DRI. so i listened to like, 2 songs and remembered how RAD they are. i need to repurchase those first 3 albums.

DRI is one of my favorite group of all time. I've been listening to them since i was 13 or 14 year old and i still enjoy them as much today as i did back then. Yep, first 3 albume sure are great.

i used to skate to meyerland mall in houston, with this big ghetto blaster playing 'dealing with it'. in my grandfather's army coat. went and saw them whenever i could, wore a DRI baseball hat for like, a year straight, broke my toe seeing them once...so why don't i have any of those tapes anymore?!? i remember being all excited and confused when 'crossover' came out.

DITTO.. it grew on me though. How can you follow up Dealing With It?
I used to have the original screens from the Dealing With It t-shirt art given to me by Kevin Bakos. I had the yellow plate and red plate. I thought Mikey Offender was second only to John Entwistle. I loved his bass sound.

I still like crossover though. It was hard to liten to it at first but i liked it after catching that tour. That was the last time i saw them too.

Sweet. I'm going to be myspace buddies with DRI. I've been dragging out all kinds of old stuff for my girlfriend's 14 year old... I totally forgot about DRI. He's blown away by the fact that the pussies he sees on FUSE are not pioneers of any kind. His silly little friends are in awe of all the "new" music he's got. I doubt my girlfriend is going to appreciate me turning him into a pussy magnet, but the old school hook up is giving him a serious edge over all the dorks in their Hot Topic gear.
