hey
we embarrassed ourselves with our guilty pleasures, now do what you do best, time to vent.. (instead of killing eachother here).. most overrated bands or solo acts in your opinion.. ill be happy to start 311, what the fuck! i mean i know the sell posters like a mutherfucker, but the music they put out is so fucking lame now.. a bunch of old fat skaters who cant even pen a tune...  ill still sell them, but fuck they suck!

it's rare that i like any band after the first 2 albums.......i used to LOVE 311 AND Aerosmith but only in the beginning.....i've always thought that a band shouldn't be allowed to put out more than 2 albums unless they can really prove that they've still got something to say, not just rehash their old tunes........
most overated? hmmmm...off the top of my head i would say the doors.....more specifically jim morrison.......don't get me wrong, i love a lot of their music but come on! Jim Morrison wasn't a poet, he was a sloppy drunk for god's sakes! he mumbled random phrases in an inebriated state and became a rock icon. I've got his "poetry" album and when i was about 20 it seemed "deep and philosphical" but i played it a few weeks ago and couldn't stop laughing.......... I pressed her thigh and death smiled.............ooooooooooooh!

i bought the strokes album and played it for a week......i like it but not enough to keep it in my 50 disk changer.........
oh and Courtney Love! god i hate that cunt! fucking groupie turned rock star by fucking famous musicians.....she's got nothing original about her and couldn't write a song if she had a gun to her head......... ok....you've got me on a rant now!

Judy, should I be worried if I think the Strokes play nice little pop-punk songs. I mean...I kinda dig em.
Judy...whats wrong with me?  Yea, Cooper...Morrisson was an amazing singer...but all that 'poet' stuff leaves me quizzed. He got most of that title from overseas, especially in Europe. When I was looking for his gravesite in Pere LeChaise cemetery, the Parisians listed him as a 'poet'. MACY GRAY is overrated. She sounds horrible.

as for the 2 album rule, sometimes it applies, but then again, some bands flop and come back with killer stuff one of my fav albums let your dim light shine by soul asylum, heck they had crap before that album hit.. then more crap but yeah, something to be said for a band that hits then leaves the scene.. can you imagine the crap the doors would be putting out for their 30th anniversary album.. i was at a show (many can attest to this), and robbie of the doors was signing stuff and i heckled him and told him that the doors suck and he was stealing money each time the rerelase shit overrated band, as of last album.. tool!! that album sucks, but i AM EXCITED FOR WHENEVER THE NEXT ONE COMES OUT.. wouldnt want them to stop, i think maynard was too busy with a perfect circle to make a great album.

Saves the Day - as i said before, Lifetime did this shit 5 years ago and did it a hundred times better...
Strokes - I really dont mind the music at all i think i just dont understand why this album has so much critical acclaim its good music in style of velvet underground, modern lovers nothing more nothing less..
