Default phantom planet

phantom planet has a unique sound that makes all the songs they sing appealing, to me anyway.

it's really funny that you posted this. I get shit for liking them all of the time. You're not supposed to like these guys for many reasons...

1. They look like a boy band, some of the dudes are models
2. they're band is sponsored by desiel or some shit
3. they have the cheesiest lyrics i've ever heard.

However, that being said... I LOVE them. ha ha. Their newest album is by far the best POP album i've heard in years. The songwriting is super super catchy, and that's where they get me.

and if I was gay, I'd be following that lead singer around on tour. I'm totally straight, but that dude is the hottest guy i've ever seen. ha ha.

(now i'm going to go listen to motorhead to clease me from everything i just said in this post)

Is that the band that jason whosis from Rushmore is in? Seems like they have the industry hookup. That kid's related to like, the Coppola empire.

I can't say that i dislike bands like Phantom Planet and also The Strokes on principle because generally I try form an opinion based on the merit of the work, but in the case of both of the aformentioned bands, I can't get past the privilaged sons of actors/models/directors/royalty/whatever thing. besides, I don't think that "catchy" is a merit, that's just my opinion.
