Yeah, not bad at all.... i think he still relies quite heavily on the BFF stuff in the live sets, which i think says alot.
He has got a new band together called The Bens, it 's Ben Folds, Ben Lee and Ben Kweller.... they are, needless to say, very good.

they played at a club i was working in around late 1996 or early '97 and were the sweetest. complete opposite of my iron maiden story. i fed e'm dinner before the club opened and we hung out before the show. then when it was time to play, there were sadly about 35 people in a place that can hold at least 500 easy.

still, they rocked like there were 20,000 folks there. the drummer came off stage during a "solo" to break dance. heheh. adorable. later he told me, with a smirk about the next leg of their tour: "we're going to japan. we're huge in japan." both of us laughing, "no, really."

i'd say Whatever and Ever Amen is my favorite.

I heard BFF for the first time on Definitely Not the Opera back in '95, and I was blown away. It was either "Jackson Cannery" or "Philosophy" that I heard. Fuckin' brilliant.
