Last night, MORRISSEY wowed us once again with a stirring version of EVERYDAY IS LIKE SUNDAY. He's looking older, but aging gracefully...not trying to 'be' anything but what he is RIGHT now. His voice was as SMOOTH as when I saw him with The Smiths back in 1986 at Cullen Auditorium.
Funny thing: Ice Cube was also on the show. Kilborn asked if he had ever heard Morrissey, and Cube was like, 'Naw...I aint never heard him. But we'll sample him if he got some dope beats'.
It was surreal seeing 2 artists I listened a LOT to back in the day on the same show...and unaware of each others existence.
