Got it the day it came out. Was just listening to it a couple of hrs ago. It's excellent. I still like their first one the best. That thing is just so damn heavy. But they've moved far beyond just being a heavy band. They make what I consider to be perfect pop songs. They're songs are just so damn tuneful. Well, except for one. Six Shooter doesn't do much for me. They're playing here next Friday night. I have to work but I'm hoping I can switch with someone and go.
Haven't gotten around to watching the dvd yet. But the parts where they were playing in the record store were filmed about a mile away from my apartment. I live pretty close to Vintage Vinyl and a lot of my friends were there. A lot of my friends work there. Some of them are even on camera. I buy most of my music there and is usually the first place I hang posters at for my shows. I was in Vegas for the first Shakedown when it happened, otherwise I would have been there. |
