    absolutely. their first few albums hold up very well. actually, even the stuff on kiss me, kiss me, kiss me is still fun. they've got a strong catalog.

    I think the whole "gloom'n'doom" opinion of The Cure is pretty funny because so much of their catalog is NOT about that... there is so much upbeat and funny things in their music, videos etc. I think it's downright hilarious that Robert Smith dons the makeup for live shows, but will also wear..what is it? A football jersey? Some of those guys are about as gothy as Phish members are hippie. But then again, oversimplification is FUNNIER.
