So I was setting up to print something last night and I was listening to a college station and I just can't get over how ANNOYING college DJ's are! Fucking whining little shits who love the sound of their voices.

Can I get an Amen!

After the FCC cracked down on pirate radio here in central Texas, the college station and a couple haggard indies are all that offer new music, uinfortunately. Anybody else suffer through the same shit, or are you a Clear Channel Surfer?

WRAS and WREK are way out of hand. The rest are 40 minutes of commercials and 20 minutes of shit. K666 StonerRock.com is all I can take.

I'm just lucky I guess. KUSF 90.3, best college radio station EVER. There's probably like one DJ I can't stand. We listen to KUSF all day at work.

...or when they play like an entire nuggets album and try to pass themselves off as having all these great records when they're just drinking coffee in the back room.

i have to deal with that every tuesday. i'm completely with you on the college radio thing. boston college has a great station and i listen to it every day except tuesdays. the dj on tuesdays never shuts up. she plays a couple songs then talks for five minutes. plus for some reason she's got that tv reporter thing where she seems to always be enclined to pronounce spanish words with a contrived accent. ugh.

I must admit, it always makes me smile when I'm listening to a kid on college radio trying to be hip, and then it cuts into about 15 seconds of silence, and then a response like, "Well, that was supposed to be Cibo Matto, but uh...wait a second....uhhhh." Like the equipment is failing or something. NO! It can't be you're a friggin moron! Like everyone is at that age! That wouldn't be it, would it Sparky!
