ISIS
damn.
huge isis fan, as much as i'll miss another offering from them, it's always best for a band to end it on a good note than to drive it in to the ground. if only some of the other prog metal bands would catch the same drift and try some different avenues(red sparowes, pelican, cough cough).
"You said if I could afford to bring back enough for you then you don't care what I do. And it's my body and I can kill it however I want to. And America's about freedom. "
sucky.
Anyone going to the San Diego show tonight???
I saw the Portland OR show. It was okay. They sounded fucking great, but I really wished there was more enthusiastic headbanging from the crowd. I overheard a lot of people talking about Isis in such unfamiliar tones I wanted to be shake people and say "Where have you been the last 10 years! This is the last show you'll see, GET PSYCHED"
I was bummed out as the crescendo wound down on their last song, as I was thinking "That's it. Bye bye Isis." I've been seeing them since I was a little 18 year old dorky art student, and although I think it is the right time for them, it's still sad to think that the odds of my ever hearing songs from Sgnl05 live just went from 1 in 1,000,000 to 0.
On the plus side, I was able to grab on of the 11x17 xerox posters on the way out! It's awesome.
they will be back... all bands come back if people want to hear em.
"i pretty much think dave has nothing of any value to offer anyone on gigposters.com"-jay ryan

I am hoping that they will at least spawn 2 new decent bands.
And besides, Old Man Gloom may start back up and they rule like what.
