Usually when you hear of some kind of allstar 3-piece line-up of members from a particular city, a person might think they have guitar, bass, and drums...but what's unique about The Letter Press is what they don't have! They don't have guitars, but instead they play their basses using the the techniques of "Rhythm and Lead Bass", to create an intricate dual guitar tapestry....each line weaving in and out of the other, connected by precise percussion.

The bass playing stays alert & interesting, while at the same time allowing for warm song structures and strong vocal melodies to shine through!

Already being compared to Pinback , The Letter Press is more interested in what they're not compared to, finding a nice little niche of their own within the grand faction of independent artists.
