Alright, this discussion made me break out the South of Heaven because I couldn't remember which of the songs on it was the one that renewed my appreciation for Slayer. It was "Dissident Aggressor." It's not even really one of my favorites, but listen to the solo. I don't know if it's Hanneman or King playing it, but it sounds like he's strangling that fucking guitar.

I saw Slayer for the first time in 1984 or 85. Ultimate Evil tour with Venom and Exodus. I saw them every year after that for like 10 years. I have not seen them in a long time. I need to.

Thye have been my favorite band since then. I got bit os hard by the Slayer bug that I converted from a full on punk rocker into a thrasher kid.

As you all know they are my very favorite band. Nothing has meant as much to me for as long as Slayer has. My life would be pure misery without them.
