Band looking for artist to create a logo

Hello,

My name is John and I'm in a local Tampa band Called "Neglected Superhero". We have been on a couple posters here on gig poster from a few years back but we disbanded in 2006 or so. We are now looking to get back onto the music scene and want to start with a fresh new look. I have never gone to an artist for this kind of thing yet so I wanted several opinions on about how much this would cost.

We are looking for a logo that people will be able to identify us by without even seeing our name. And something that would really appeal to the punk and pop/punk genre. I'd really like input on the going rate for this OR any interested artists that might be interested in taking this on.

Thanks for the reply loco. We are looking for something more along the lines of happy/fun though. Musically we are going to start writing more along the lines of bands like NoFx, Midtown, The Impossibles, Fall out Boy etc.

Re: cost...will logo be used on hats, shirts, band merch, etc? That's some decent value added to the identity designed, food for thought.
