    Arrow Calling All Artists

I just started a new site/biz called bumperstickerz.com. Right now it's pretty much got like 1200 stickers that the designers we hired put together, mainly from stuff they found on the web and most of it is redneck material.

My goal is to change the content on the site over the next few months to sticker art rather than sticker rudeness and goofy sayings (although people are actually buying that!).

But anyway, I saw this site and the artwork here is awesome, and that's really the type of stuff I'd love to have on our site. My site is set up right now to actually offer artists a cut of total sales of each sticker design, so if any artist is interested in contributing please contact me at info@bumperstickerz.com.

Stickers on the site right now are $2.99 each... artist contributed stickers will most likely sell for $3.99 with the artist making $1 per sticker. Our site tracks sales and you'll have a login where you can see how well and which designs are selling. We pay out once a month on total sales per artist.

We can print stickers in full color and contour cut them into any shape (yes ANY) in quantities as low as 1. Total freedom within a 10"x4" area. We'll provide all details on how to submit your atwork, but it's basically .eps files with a cut line embedded. Simple stuff...

Let me know if anyone's interested, or if you think this is a good idea, or just plain dumb.

    Thanks!

Good idea. The art on your stickers is lacking.

    Default could use help

yea, the art's lacking, but we were in a mad rush to fill the site up with content to at least get some traffic going from google and to start getting some $ back on the investment...

but yea I totally agree. Our initial goal was quantity not quality, and now I would like to focus on great art and design. So I think the only way to do this is to open it up to the artist community and let everyone be contributors, and make some cash while they're at it.

One thing though, the nice thing about our current stickers on the site, even though they're not the greatest, is that they draw a lot of search engine traffic so that at least we're getting lots of hits and mediocre initial sales.

I think that having great artwork could change everything though! Spread the word

I am always bummed when I see a ton of stuff just snagged on the web and from movies and slapped onto shirts and stickers. Blah!!!

    seems lazy.And opportunistic.

scrojo, what kind of sample are you talking about? a printed sample? also, which email isn't working? info@bumperstickerz.com is a working email.

maxfluoride... it is a bit lazy and opportunistic, which is why I'm looking to transform the content into a better direction by opening up the design and profit sharing to artists.
