Default artist needed for album cover.

Hey guys, I play in a band and we are about to release our first album on a small local lable and we are needing artwork. To start with we cannot afford much and would like somthing original hand drawn/painted vs computer generated. We also need someone who has a fairly quick turn around. Please pm or drop a message on here if you might be interested or can point us in the right direction. I can fill you in more once you have contacted me.

MySpace.com - Los Hijos Del Diablo - OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma - Metal - www.myspace.com/loshijosdeldiablos that is our myspace page so you can get a feel for what the music sounds like, etc. the songs on the page are older and will not be on the album just so you know.

that's quite the trifecta: 'can't afford much' and 'original art' and 'short deadline' usually don't mix well.

    1) Done well
    2) Done fast
    3) Done cheap

    Pick two.

I realize I put a lot of restrictions on this but I was just putting it out there that we cannot afford a whole lot, would like somthing sooner than later, and are looking for somthing that is hand drawn vs computer generated. Just seeing what my options are, I know there are some people out there that just want some work and thats whom I am trying to reach out to.

if you cant afford much, then you cant really expect people to give you good fast work...you may find someone to do it fast, but do you make your best work as fast as you can? Most of us don't.

I am not expecting anything done in a week or anything just making a point and can't really spend 3 months on artwork. perhaps I am not expecting amazing work, just somthing that will work.

Word. I totally understand where you are coming from. Thats just the way most of us work and I would assume what you are going to hear. You may get better responses if you offer up an amount. That way people may know what they are getting into. there are people here that may do it, but a lot that wont. Album art tends to take a minute.

Yeah I understand it takes time, I just think a lot of people waste their time repeating what others have already said, haha. I just figured I would offer up an amount to whom ever will email me about it if they are interested. I know that if i mention an amount it will just be somthing else for people to chime in about.

Props for offering money at all.
Most people show up wanting something for nothing.

Anything is always better than nothing.
