Portland area peeps

Me and the lady friend have been looking into moving to Portland or at least somewhere close to there for a very long time and are going to be making a trip that way this summer to scope out jobs and what not. Anyone know of any place that's going to need some help this summer? Any positions opening up anywhere? Any ideas and/help would be mucho appreciated as we'd like to get a jump on it before the snow melts.

The GF is in advertising and has a shit ton of newspaper related experience. I'm a graphic designer with a good amount of offset prepress experience. Thanks

it's really hard to find a job in portland, i suggest at least one of you have something lined up before moving here.

also, you better not mind 6 weeks of not seeing the sun in a row, i'm not exaggerating either.

Yeah, we plan on at least one of getting something set in stone before making any kind move. As for the sun thing, sounds like winter in Fargo.

i should say this year and last year have been the sunniest winters i can remember in the 8 years i've lived here.

i lived in rochester. we saw the sun once a year and called it the "day star". id live in portland if it wasnt for the 8 kinds of herpes running rampant.
