I've got to say, this sounds like a fun way to take a break from paid poster work, but frankly speaking, I'd rather be forced to endure seeing 100+ musicians at 14 different locations all over New York City.

if you want to secure my entry into your contest, please contact my assistant for the address of where to send the $1000 deposit. i will then begin a loose sketch for my own purposes. as this is a contest, you are forfeiting your right to final image approval or any revisions. upon completion of my contest entry, i will require the remaining $4000 and will then release the non-watermarked artwork to you for the judging aspect. once the contest judging starts, i will assassinate a Dan Black every hour on the hour until i am declared the sole winner. i am serious, do not take me lightly. if you strike me down, i shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.
