Curiously but not surprising, it doesn't get into Artists who function in the informal economy, aren't on someone's payroll, aren't issued 1099s as an independent contractor, etc. While this is impossible to measure and may not be hugely significant to the outlook for the sector as a whole, I'd expect this represents a significant portion of Fine Artists and Musicians. Crafters in particular appear to represent a growth industry in a difficult economy.
