Default Oregon Country Fair seeks poster artist for 2011

The Oregon Country Fair has been a northwest tradition for the last 42 years. Being familiar with the event is helpful.

The Oregon Country Fair poster may be both offset printed and a limited edition silk-screened edition, so being familiar with both printing processes is helpful. The design will also be used on t-shirts and other commemorative items.

Please submit 3-5 samples of your previous work to be considered to design the 2011 poster.

The deadline for all entries is December 6, 2010. You may submit digital jpg, tiff and pdf files by e-mail with 2011 Poster Contest clearly marked in the subject line to: ocfposter@gmail.com

Any finalists will be notified within 2-3 weeks of the contest deadline by a member of the Poster Committee to continue working on the design process. For more info and inspiration go to the Fair's website at: Oregon Country Fair or Oregon Country Fair Posters

    Thanks so much.

    Let's back up a minute.

OCF – you'll have to excuse our snotty artist attitudes. We (well, most of us) would rather you just do a little research and find a designer that you think can do the work. Then, you can approach that artist directly... Anything that says "contest" is a sure fire way to crowdsource a terrible poster. Just my 2cents.

Diesel Fuel Prints, your friendly Portland printer, would be happy to print up the screen printed versions!

Scratch that. I read it again "finalistS" Multiple artists chosen to move forward with a final design = lame.

    Carry on.

The Oregon Country Fair is a pretty big deal around here, especially for the hippies.
