If you want to get into poster art just get to know your favorite local band or promoter or venue and start making posters for them- that's about it.

favourite cheese? just remember... there is a difference between drawing nice pictures and making posters... a lot of good illustrators can draw good but their posters suck because they just drop type on top of a good pic... don't be that guy...
