exactly what i was thinking. I'm sure there is someone here that is a new artist that may only charge $25 an hour or something low like that can do it or someone can throw something nice together with existing imagery or clip art.

some people are very easy to work with. When i got my train logo done in 1999 or so i had told ken adams that i liked punk rock, 1940's signage, and art deco. for $25 i got 3 pretty rough pencil sketch ideas to pick one from. I picked one and he had the logo done and i paid him the other $175 or $250 or something like that. went super smooth on both sides.

I think its really important for the customer to pick an artist that has a style that he likes across the board.

this all said, darkcode you should really try and pump your budget up to around $300. Around here that will get you a pretty solid design (and something you may never want to change) from an artist that is a little more seasoned than someone just beginning out in the art field.

I appreciate the answers and I'm amazed how mentioning a budget make it a worthy topic for discussion. I'm not looking to launch an apparel line (yet) or to impress... It's a promotional tshirt that i'm offering for free to the members.. beside that, $100 is still money..and willing to pay more if it worth it. The time spent critiquing my offer, should be enough to come with a basic design therefore It's not about the money it's about talent and time management.
Thank you again for all the inputs.

PS: the 38mn guy, I dont like your style anyway, maybe oneday when I will be in charge of redesigning the new SPAM can, kthx.

Thank you for the advice... I didn't mention a price in the original post but I don't mind pumping the budget for the right artwork. What people don't understand sometimes is that "tight" for me might not be what's considered "tight" for you. I'm not here to ask for a work for a cheeseburger like some guys like to make it sound.. anyway the offer is still open and I will be glad to work with the right artist now and in the future.

I started 25 years ago with a stolen Kinko's card and a shitty bicycle. If I can do it you can too. - Kozik

For the record, I also enjoy snack cakes and receiving fellatio. - ENM

Reading "The Art of Seduction" saved me a lot of money on Roofies.

I was stuck in this giant RV with Keith Richards and he kept tickling my ass and trying to toss my salad. - B-DROID
