I haven't done any research on this "fact", but a few days back I heard on NPR that 9 out of 10 medicare recipients are satisfied with their coverage. If the gov't can run medicare why not a system for the rest of us. Admittedly they could seriously fuck it up, but they have the potential to do it right as well. I would prefer my tax dollars go to something that benefits everyone, rather than subsidies for corporations and wars with no purpose. People love medicare, medicade, and social security and lose their minds every time anyone talks about cuts to these programs.

been with Kaiser for years. premiums are not very high and they have provided excellent prompt attention every visit. 2 years ago Sharon had to have major jaw surgery, went to the best place on the west coast. they paid for it 100%. all prescriptions are 10 bucks etc.
in 10 years they have never ever denied me a fucking thing.
thats been my 'plan'.
