but with your drawings, it's a shame that the rest of the posters kinda takes away from them. they get lost.

I'm glad you like the drawings... Studying design & typography huh? Well I went to the school for graphical arts and befor that I did plain graphical school. So I did study. The poster making however, is a chance for me to do something completely different from my day job. I don't want to walk the same path. And most of the time there's little time to do a poster. So I tend to spend more time for the illustrations than for the typo... 'Cause I know that's what I do best; so I make that the center of attention, It's well known that people who don't know a thing about design go for image rather than for text.
Don't get me wrong, I know I need to work on the typography, spend more time on it... I will too as soon as time allows me to do so...
The reason I post these things are to get response and critics to help me evolve and get better at this, I haven't seriously been in to this too long... Hey I've been at this on a more concious level since I signed up here!
Rather than give a blunt comment like 'you really need to study at least a little design and typography.' Point me in the right direction, tell me what's good and what's not? Where is the line between not good and not my taste? I really appreciate your crits and your advise would be a great help...

Hey, a fellow Dutch guy. Loved yout poster/joke on the Melkweg (the cows and the milk gone). A question, are your posters silkscreen or offset ?
