Shut up eddiez
scrojo drew this Reagan for me.. Why couldn't Shep just do what any good artist would
do and illustrate it.. he would have never been in this mess..
![]()
why?
because he doesnt have the time (no opinion from me wether or not he even has the skill or not)
his mission/thesis is that flooding the 'market' with your product/work will result in success no matter what the quality is
hence he just drops stuff and goes on to the next one
the idea of drawing that by hand is something that won't work for shep because he needs to do at least one release a day/week/whatever
"I can tell you what offends me personally in the rock poster scene: Work that reflects an artists ego rather than the band's attitude, show or event" (Stainboy)
also i did work over a photo ref on that one but made some pretty dramatic changes to it....... i think. might have drawn it freehand from ref. can't remember. been a long time.
Is what Shep did really less easy than what the original photographer did - point and click?
The central intent of copyright law is to prevent anybody from taking money away from the creator of the original work. This is clearly a case where the original picture took on MORE value after the Obey piece was created - it's often run in tandem with Shep's piece in articles about it, getting a lot more usage fees than it would have otherwise.
there's a little more to photograhy than "point and click"
but I'll let dan crosshair tear you a new poopchute for that one
