Here are the last pics of this process.

After a few hours in the fridge I filtered the vodka through a double coffee filter.



Doesn't look very tasty at all.



The resulting liquid is pee yellow but clear.



Then I poured it in a bottle.



I have to say that the results weren't as refreshing as I thought it would be because I didn't count the amount of salt that's in the bacon in to the equation. So it's not really a liquor that you shoot straight. I tried it in a Bloody Mary, using locally grown Lovage instead of celery which came out great. You could really taste the bacon through the tomato juice.
I suppose it depends on what kind of bacon you use in terms of salt and flavor. The bacon I used has a really strong flavor as it has some gristle still on it.

I started some of this yesterday and added a jalapeno pepper for good measure, I'll report back on how it tastes.
