It's a priority because it's showing similarities to the 1918 epidemic. That flu came on mild in the summer, then turned mega-virulent the following fall, killing millions. I'm all for the spending what they gotta spend in order to come up with a vaccine to head off a catastrophe. (as long as they properly test it - the 1976 vaccine was very hastily prepared.)

I always get a flu shot.

"I always get a flu shot."

    Smart Woman.

My wife, a family practice doc, has been getting many patients wanting the H1N1 vaccination - but that have not been receiving their regular flu shot. Of which the regular flu will kill many more people than any swine flu this year. Approximately 20,000 people die from the regular flu yearly.

Let it trim the masses. If I'm one of them, well so be it. It's our ecosystem's way of trying to take care of itself by killing off organisms it can no longer support.

I fully believe most vaccinations are bullshit made up by the drug companies to pad their already bulging wallets.

You can say this comfortably from the protection of a largely tentanus, polio, mumps, measle, small pox, Hep A, Hep B vaccinated society.

I know, right? Of course, as an infant it's not like I could protest the shots my parents let the doctor give me (for the sake of argument..tee hee).

The only vaccination I was ever voluntarily administered was one I was being paid to get.
