Default 2009/2010 futbol-football-soccer thread

it's been a crazy transfer window...i hope real madrid choke. i wonder if platini is going to do something about that kind of spending.

i was really hoping arsenal would have picked up benzema.

new season just around the corner.

in the mean time...

Rémi Gaillard (born 7 February 1975 in Montpellier, France) is a French prankster. He gained attention in the French media after performing a well-documented series of pranks, including a famous appearance disguised as a Lorient football player in the 2002 Coupe de France final match where he took part in the celebrations and even greeted the then president of France Jacques Chirac. Gaillard has appeared in several sport events, TV game shows and political rallies, normally breaking the security measures easily.

He also has several videos displaying his football skills. These videos are "Foot 2008" "Put It Where You Want It" and "Foot 2009", in these videos he goes around the city doing tricks and making difficult shots, some however are just for the comical aspect.

Gaillard's motto is "C'est en faisant n'importe quoi qu'on devient n'importe qui" in translation: "It's by doing anything that one becomes anyone".

Rob... this one may scare you... talks of Eto'o to Man City... he's too good for that (Barca making cash available to lure Fabregas away from Arsenal)

Also... my Spurs may put in a bid on Bellamy... I love Bellamy but I am not sure he can stay healthy... although a change of scenery to a place like Tottenham may inspire him... I could get used to Bellamy and Keane together

Only 37 days to kickoff!!

Huge Arsenal supporter. Hope to get over again during the season. Try to go to 1-2 games a season.
We got tickets to Arsenal v Hull last season. How the fuck we lost that??!!

Really looking forward to the season. Man utd look weaker without Ronaldo & Tevez. Just hope boring L'pool don't win it.

Fabregas ain't going anywhere. He will be at Arsenal for a few more years BUT will end up at Barca.
I hope Real & Man City choke aswell. Too much money is ruining the game.

Rant over!

ps Arshavin will be player of the season. You heard it here first!

agreed...

I hope Spurs can put together a full season like like their second half... slow start, but after getting Keane back they really put it together... they would have been top 5 possibly even top 3... they are looking to make some decent moves this transfer it seems... compared to last year when they got rid of everyone for virtually no one... luckily they got Keane back.

Yid Army is go!

HA...this is turing out to be more of a joke than i had thought: Cruise advised Becks to join LA Galaxy - International Stars - Entertainment - The Times of India

The Beckham Experiment comes out next week...should be an interesting read.

I heard the author of the book on the Dan Patrick Show - he has interviewed Beckham more than any other american journalist - he was somewhat critical but careful on the show.

His take was that from a winning perspective it was a bad decision. Financially from the MLS, Galaxy-side, Beckham brand - good. Sounded like he got some juicy quotes from Donovan and the stunning revelation that he wasnt good in the locker room - standoffish.

I too cannot wait for the new season. Go Gunners!

In the meantime there's always the Gold Cup. Where my hopes for Team Canada will get crushed in the semis by yet another bizarre CONCACAF refereeing decision.

Gunners need a defence before they are strobg again. Vidic and ferdinand won us the title last yr. I too hope madrid slip up ludicrous amounts. One thing from me about platini, if an english club spent that amount he'd be spitting his baby ass dummy out.

I just heard a rumor or Figo and Tottenham... out of retirement... AGAIN??? he is the Brett Fahrve of footy... although as a Porkchop footy fan I would love it, one of my all time favourite players... I even did a painting of him...

and of Nuno Gomes...

and Paolo Maldini

next up... Robbie Keane
