no..theres been a major shift change. the WW2 generation was bred on the farms and in the factories and was used to hard times and the need to 'work'. I knew 3 of my great uncles, all war heroes, all workers. they came from the mines and the farm. made them tough. they wherent whiners.

currently we have over-entertained, know nothing bags of blubber.

That last line had me laughing. I busted my ass when I was young. Now I have a good job and come home not wanting to do shit. My brain is fryed and I feel like a fat fuck

Frank you'd be happy to spend some time with current Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. I get to know a lot of them because we hire them at my job. They are fine, fine people who have certainly faced their fair share of combat hardships.

judge those journals rule. You should look into sending scans to some historical group. They would eat those up. I know a few years ago the federal government was sending out interview kits for an oral history of WWII veterans, a great idea.
