    A few days ago a friend had a $600 tube amp delivered to my house for him and of course it had to be shipped by UPS. Luckily I was home because the female driver didn't ring the door bell or knock and it didn't need a signature so she just left it right in front of the door clearly visible from the street and the box was the original box it came in so it was easy to figure out what it was. The only reason I knew it was out there was because of the dog barking at her. The box was damaged on one corner and had been taped after splitting down the entire side, but luckily no damage to the amp.

    UPS left a $2500 Minimoog on the front steps at my buddies place. No sig, no nothing.
    Luckily it sat there for 4 hours and nobody yoinked it..

    the no sig thing is the shippers fault. If you are shipping something expensive it is the responsibility of the shipper to request that UPS gets a sig for delivery, the people running shipping departments should know this basic shit.
