I'm curious what exactly would be more engaging? I thought they did pretty well at making it as it happened, although romanticized it because he was a "Robin Hood" bank robber. Of course it looked like a TV movie at times, it was set during the Great Depression.
Crudup was great as Hoover, I get Scrojo wanting more on that end, but that probably would have bored me to tears.
Most of the cast was outstanding. I wanted a gangster movie and that's exactly what I got.
