Default How do you save a PDF in Photoshop...

I know how to select PDF and save the file as one...

My question is when a client wants a PDF of the artwork that they plan to put up on a website for people to download.

It needs to be actual size.
I am working in photoshop with a 300 dpi file.

When I save the file for this client as a PDF, do I keep it at 300 dpi?
It just seems the file is too big.

Or do I make the dpi like 120 or something?

The dimensions have to be the same, and it must print out clean.

I suck. I never know how to do this from Photoshop.

    Please advise. Thanks.

Drop it into Illustrator, save as PDF. Works for me.

"it just seems like so little effort is put into creating this? am i missing something?"

seems pointless to have raster art in a pdf for download. I would try to talk them into a jpeg.

or just save it as a jpg. there's no advantage to the pdf file format if you're just wrapping a jpg in a pdf.

Even if I save as a JPG, what dpi do I save it as...300?
Wouldn't that be too big a file for a download...

    Maybe not? I don't know...

will the people downloading it be printing the image or is it something like a desktop image?

if it's not for outputting then 72 should be fine.
