This has always been my take on the issue.

Who you are dictates who you can steal from and still remain cool. Sad but true.

I like them both, but they both have bad points to me.

No Goodtimes was a Kook for a while... he was just Spooky.

As noted in another thread, Goodtimes obviously stole the word Kook from surfers—but he flipped it horizontally—so it's cool.
If anyone else had done it though, it would be uncool.
