I think it's kind of lame.
If you want the posters to get people to the show, screenprinted ones work better.
All you need is date, band, place. It's not a short story. People aren't going to stop to
check the price and blah blah blah.
There is nothing technically "wrong" with your idea, though.
    Just my opinion.

and, yes, printing is still fun after 18 years of doing it every day.

I love screen printing, too! I just reclaimed a screen in my shower a few minutes ago. I wouldn't say I hate it, but it's not my favorite part of the process. I printed a poster this week, and I'm almost done with a new art print. It feels great to be occupied with creative things.
I also like trips to the post office with mailing tubes or signing a stack of prints. It's very satisfying.
Also, does anybody else like the smell of rubylith?

I love reclaiming. What I dislike these days is the physical labour of pulling the squeegee. It makes my elbows hurt.

If I could get a semi-auto I would be in heaven.

Glad to hear you are printing again Henry. You are too good at it not to.

I had to revive this thread because screen printing and poster art are making me super happy lately. The Chicago Printer's Guild meeting last week was super fun, and I am stoked to be a part of it.
I love seeing new posters on this site and thinking, "Wow, that rules. Now I've got to get to work!" It's such a good feeling to be challenged in such a positive way.
I spent all day yesterday working on a new poster design. I also have a brand new hand table press, and I can't wait to print on it. I bought a new squeegee last week, and I couldn't stop talking about it. Seriously.
