    Default Kexp

Any of you guys ever listen to KEXP 90.3 FM - where the music matters

My friend's bands are being played quite regularly by them... is it any good, does it have a good status over there, or is it really local?

Seattle people listen to it. As I understand it the founders of subpop used to be DJs on it. Whats yr friends bands name?

Its voted best station in the world like every year by some radio foundation thing. I think they won best podcast this year too.

I don't know anyone in Seattle that doesn't like it. And the simulcast in a couple other citys every year too, I think they are in new york right now too.

a KEXP sticker is pretty much obligatory on the quintessential seattlites car...especially priuses with obama paraphernalia
i sometimes get annoyed by the afternoon people (sheryl waters and that other dude are douches and NOT funny)
but its got some decent specialty shows too....WoPop and Sonic Reducer rule.

yep. pretty much a staple in Seattle.

Greg Vandy is a friend of mine and probably one of the nicest and most interesting peeps you'll ever meet.

it's all about positive vibrations and expansions for me. sonic reducer also rules.
